Christmas.

I did a very bad thing...

I neglected the camera...ON LILA'S FIRST CHRISTMAS!!! What kind of mother am I? jeez. I was so excited about watching her open  her presents and watching Tage open his presents that I totally forgot about the camera....ah well. It was a great Christmas and I'll always remember it as such. Even if I don't have lots of pictures to prove it. Lila loved the paper and bows more than her gifts anyway. That's ok with me. Tage got me a sewing machine, and lots of little things to go with it. He got me my favorite perfume, and a pink emergency car kit. LOL. He did a good job. I got him a new knife and a new wallet. Those were by far his favorite toys. Oh, and his Punisher t-shirt. He thought that was way cool. We had a great time with family on Christmas. We got to talk to Kuyler, and I got an excellent nap while Tage played with all his new stuff. We ate lots of good food and saw (most of) the people we love, what more could you ask for? I vow to be a better picture taker. That will be my new year's resolution! Along with losing 20 pounds...yep, sounds doable!

I've been using my sewing machine quite a bit! I'll post pictures soon of the blanket Tage and I are working on for Miss Lila Bug. The fabric is called ultra soft cuddle. It's turned into an ultra nightmare. Sure it's soft, cuddly, and very appealing, but NOT easy to cut or sew. I think I'm getting the hang of this sewing thing...I just need Tage as my trusty sidekick so I don't take my projects outside and light them on fire. :)

Here are the FEW pictures I got on Christmas...oh my, I'm so horrible.

Kim snuggling cute little Gavin

Love that bright smile

Lila and Gavin. We had to space them apart because Lila would very much like to tug on Gavin's nose, ears, eyes etc..

love the look on her face in this one!

Tage and his punisher shirt!

I've always wanted moccasin slippers :)

Half a year already?

Lila bug is six months old. Love you little one!!!! I've been a mom for half a year now...it just goes by so fast. I miss my tiny baby. *sigh* no wonder people have a few kids, they just aren't babies long enough.
Here's some pictures from her six month photo shoot. Kari and I split the session to save money and  cause Lila and Wayne are cute little buddies. We want to embarrass them in the future with these pictures :) look how much they've grown!!
Lila was just 12 days old!!

Look at these two cuties now! So grown up.

SO CUTE. Happy 6 months Lila bug.

A few months ago we did some photos that ended horribly. So bad that I refused to purchase them. Well, at Lila's 6 month pictures I was telling the photographer about my previous experience and she was nice enough to put the FEW pictures that turned out decent from the past shoot onto my disc. YAY! You can see the sadness in Lila's eyes in the last photo after her face plant out of the prop basket. Poor girl. Those pictures will forever live in infamy.

I also hated the outfit I picked for Lila. WHAT was I thinking?! I have problems...

At least my hair looks good..

After the incident! This is my favorite outfit she has had so far. I LOVE it. She's tiny and can still wear the tights.

runny noses.

After much screaming and thrashing about I just got Lila settled down into bed. Usually she is conked out by the time I get home from work on Thursday nights, but tonight she had worked herself into such a distraught state that even I couldn't calm her down right away. Poor little buglet can't breathe through her stuffed up nose, is running a fever, and is just all kinds of not feeling well. We gave her a good dose of Tylenol, some saline, and lots of snuggles and FINALLY got her settled in for the night. Poor Tage, he felt as bad as poor Lila did. Ah, the joys of parenting. Hey, at least we made it 6 whole months before any illnesses. We are lucky indeed. And what's better is I get to have the stuffies right along with her. Blech.

Lila is just an itty bitty. She weighs just 13 1/2 pounds, is 25 1/2 inches long, and barely makes the percentile charts with those stats. Her doctor says she is just perfect though, she's growing on her own curve and she is just fine. :) She's hit all the milestones that she needs to hit, plus she's rolling EVERYWHERE. She prefers to roll rather than sit up, if I try to make her sit up and play she just flops over and rolls away haha. She's starting to attempt crawling, she just sort of lays there and looks as if she is trying to swim away. I love my little darling. She's so much fun! I love the snuggles, holding her close and basking in her tiny sweetness. I also love comforting her when she doesn't feel well, I enjoy providing the comfort that only mothers can. I love being a mommy. <3

Christmas in 5 days! I'm so excited to spend time with family and loved ones. Make sure to enjoy your loved ones and hold them extra close.
Daddy daughter bonding.

such a sweet face.

I can now fashion her hair into a little curl! :)

babies, callings, and such.

Lila Bug turned 5 months old on the 14th! She just gets cuter and sweeter every day! She is barely starting to fit into 3-6 month clothes, we think she weighs about 13 pounds now. She loves rice cereal, sweet potatoes and squash. I introduced the veggies a little early, but she's such a little shrimp, and seems so interested in eating I decided to let her give it a try and she just loooves to eat! On the day Lila turned 5 months old she started rolling from her back to her tummy! We were so surprised, usually she avoids tummy time at all costs. So, she rolled around the living room a few times and has yet to roll since. Little stinker. She's also getting really close to sitting up!
I took Lila shopping with me and decided to just carry her on my hip rather than lug her car seat around, she wanted to grab every thing she laid her eyes on! She's very aware of her surroundings and wants to touch everything, followed by putting it in her mouth.
Lila is literally OBSESSED with Piper. That dog can grab her attention from anything she may be doing, including eating! Every time Piper goes trotting by, Lila reaches her arms out and stretches as far as she can to get a hold of Piper's luxurious fur. Piper has figured out how to stay just barely out of reach. That will work until the day Lila decides to crawl :)

In other news, I'm back working 2 nights a week at Arby's....yea not too happy about it, but hospital bills need to be taken care of. After that I can go back to staying at home again! It's nice working, I get some time to be Alison instead of mommy...I just miss my baby! Kind of contradicting myself, but I know it's good for me to do something for myself. Plus, Arby's really gets me moving, might just help me shed a few pounds. My mom is great and watches Lila until Tage gets off work, but I just hate leaving her at all.

I also got called into primary, I'll be teaching the 5 yearolds. YIKES! I've never taught (besides training people at Arby's) and I've never had a calling either! Hope this goes well, I'm kinda nervous, it will be an adventure for sure. I'm glad my bishop finally took the time to seek me out and show me he knows who I am and that he wants me to reach my goals. I've never had a bishop that I felt cared if I succeeded or not. I sat and observed my future class last Sunday and met the kids. They are really cute! One little girl reminds me of my niece Avenley, she's so cute, sweet and smart, I had to resist grabbing her and hugging her lol. I think it's the way she pronounces her R's also that reminds me the most of the adorable 5 year old Avenely. There is also a little boy named Kyler, he's got curly blonde hair and is rather naughty. He's a cutie though, and insisted on sitting by me during sharing time :)

Tage is busy busy, he's been working a ton as usual and got called to be the Young Men's first counselor. He's going to be great at it! Tage can't wait for the first good snowfall, he wants to plow all the neighbor's driveways with his lawnmower/snow plow that he created haha! I'm sure the neighbors will not mind.

I can't believe how fast October flew by and now Thanksgiving is next week. WHAT?! I'm looking forward to the holidays, it's going to be so much fun with a baby! I'm also excited for school to get out in December, I need a break!

Our baby lobster :)

such a sweet face!
Like I said, Lil' miss grabby hands!

my beautiful 5 month old Lila.

LOL this picture makes me laugh. This kid has got personality!

Happy, messy, eater!
Absolutely entranced with the puff!
